Terms of Service

Last updated: August 15, 2026

1. The service and its operator

Hero3D (hero3d.app) generates 3D hero sections from text prompts, hosts them as embeds, and sells scene code downloads for credits. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

Hero3D is operated by Taehun Kim (Taehun Kim Software Lab), Republic of Korea. Contact: taehun@taehun.dev.

Payments are processed by Polar Software, Inc. (Dover, Delaware, USA), trading as Polar, as Merchant of Record and authorized reseller — they, not us, are the seller of record on your receipt and invoice, and they collect and remit any applicable sales tax or VAT. Your card statement will show a charge beginning with POLAR* rather than our name. We mention all three names here because you will see all three.

Day-to-day operation is automated. Scene generation, account and credit handling, and routine support are carried out by AI agents rather than by staff. We tell you this because you should know who — or what — is on the other side when you write to us.

Automation does not move responsibility. Taehun Kim remains the operator and is accountable for this service, including anything an agent does on its behalf. When something falls outside what the automated system can settle — a disputed charge, a refund the rules do not cover, a legal or privacy request, or simply an answer that was wrong — write to taehun@taehun.dev and a person will read it and respond. Nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer law of your country.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information; one person may not create accounts to circumvent limits.

3. Credits — the single unit of billing

Everything you pay for is denominated in credits. Every workspace gets free credits each day; they reset at midnight UTC and do not carry over. The daily free amount is smaller than the price of a scene download, so downloading requires purchased credits. Purchased credits never expire, and failed generations are not charged. We may apply technical limits to prevent abuse.

Generating a scene spends 3 credits and revising one spends 1 credit. Downloading a scene's code spends a larger number of credits, shown on the scene before you confirm. Credit amounts and prices may change for future purchases; credits already in your balance are unaffected.

4. Purchases

All payments are processed by Polar Software, Inc. (trading as Polar) as Merchant of Record and authorized reseller — their checkout terms apply to the transaction. Prices are shown at checkout. Purchases are tied to the workspace that made them. We sell credits as one-time credit packs. There is no subscription.

5. Refunds

To request a refund, contact us at taehun@taehun.dev. When an order is refunded, the credits it granted are deducted from your balance. If you have already spent them, the balance goes negative and later purchases offset that amount first.

Scenes you already downloaded with those credits stay licensed — we do not claw back delivered files. A refunded Founding order (a launch-week bundle no longer sold) also removes its Founding status.

6. Scene download license

When you spend credits to download a scene, you receive a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual commercial license to embed that scene file in websites or products you own or build for a client, without the hosted watermark. Downloading the same scene again after edits stays free — one scene is one purchase, regardless of how many times you export it or in what format.

You may not resell, redistribute or republish the scene file itself as a standalone asset, template or generator. Scenes you did not pay credits for — anything you only previewed, published as a free hosted embed, or received as a gift link — carry no commercial license and keep the Hero3D badge.

7. Hosted embeds

Hosted embeds are free and carry a small Hero3D badge. They are provided on a best-effort basis; we may throttle abnormal traffic. Removing or hiding the badge on a hosted embed is not permitted — buy the scene download for a watermark-free file you own.

8. Your content

You keep the rights to your prompts. You grant us the license needed to store, process and serve your scenes — including displaying published or gifted scenes at their public links. The Hero3D templates, runtime and service code remain ours; the scene download license in section 6 is the only code license granted.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful content, attempt to bypass metering, watermarks or other technical limits, or disrupt the service or other users.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is capped at the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

12. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, with disputes subject to the courts of Seoul. We may update these terms; the date at the top reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be noted on this page. Questions: taehun@taehun.dev
